Anti-Flag was originally formed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1988. The band name originates from the experiences that the founders had in their hometown. When the two would go to local shows, they often saw patrons of the shows chanting slogans for "freedom not fascism" while waving the American Flag and sporting the flags with "x"s over them on their jackets. However, these same patrons would constantly participate in violence against those who did not completely agree with their point of view. Justin and Pat saw the brandishing of the American Flag and using it as a tool against others as a form of fascism.

Anything from Die For Your Government to Underground Network would be passable.

After that album they just kept getting worse and worse.

And Terror State was so bad to begin with. Especially Turncoat. Ugh.

I think the newer stuff would be better for Rock Band, definitely more challenging and also more well known

but the older stuff is awesome too

    I mean like, mainstream popular!

and you make some good points, those are good songs

I think the bass parts in the newer stuff would be super difficult too though, I mean especially in The Press Corpse

I'd be all over any Anti-Flag released. But I can imagine how awesome it would be to have everyone in the living room chanting along, "You gotta die, gotta die, gotta die for your government!" That would be insane.

i think the most fitting song would one of their non-political songs like...

    spaz's house destruction party
    drink drank punk
this is not a crass song
    kill the rich
    or
indie sux hardline sux emo sux you suck

Unfortunately, those songs just aren't as good (in my opinion). Anti-Flag without a political message is like a car without wheels. What's the point?

    think it should be 5
    "stars and stripes"
    "captain anarchy"
    "turncoat"
    "die for the govrnment"
and "emo sucks" or "hymn for the dead
and p.s. i think everybodies older stuff is better because after you make a little money a lot of bands change. so id definitly like to see the hard punk stuff than watered down mainstream **** that everybody likes so much. and to leftover crack i can almost guarantee pickin *** songs like that your not an anti-flag fan or into real punk that much, you should definitly stay in your range of good charlotte, simple plan, and avril lavigne theyre more your speed. when me and my clique listen to **** that gets us pumped to wreak havoc you never listen to slow mellow **** about a dumbass houseparty.

1st off Leftover_crack your not the only real Anti-Flag fan on here. And the way your acting you don't sound like a true fan. I bet the lyrics for Captain Anarchy ring all to true about your life.
Now as far as Anti-Flag goes i would download anything that they ever released in RockBand. but here are my top 6 wants. HMX make these happen

    Now on to my selections
    6. America got it right (BYO split with the bouncing souls)
    5. She's My Little GoGo Dancer (die for the gov't)
    4. 911 for peace (mobilize)
    3. Tearing everyone down (New kind of Army)
    2. captain anarchy (New kind of Army)
    1. Die for the Government (Die for the Gov't)

So I was googling to see if any Anti-Flag songs were going to be in the upcoming rock band games and came across this thread. I read everyone's posts, but found this one so agitating that I had to sign up and reply.

First of all, it doesn't matter how young you were when you started listening, or how long you have been listening to Anti-Flag. You've been listening since you were 7? What are you now? 12? That doesn't make you a REAL fan. People with that mindset are ******ed.

You sound like an elitist music snob which I'm sure Anti-Flag would not approve of. Do you even listen to the lyrics? I mean really listen to the lyrics? If you did you wouldn't be putting other people down for being fans no matter how long they have been listening to them. By saying you're the only REAL fan, that's exactly what you're doing. Anti-Flag is all about unity.

Anyway, back to the real point of this thread...the songs I would like to hear which I think would be good for Rock Band. Some of the songs I've seen people mention, yes, are Anti-Flags best songs, but would NOT be good for a game IMO, in terms of the actual music.

    In no particular order...

    1. I'd Tell You But...
    2. Die For Your Government
    3. Sold As Freedom
    4. Angry, Young, and Poor
    5. The Press Corpse

I honestly don't think they'll ever put Anti-Flag songs in the game, just because they are so political, not to mention the fact that Anti-Flag may not even want to support it. They can't exactly throw in songs like F Police Brutality, or Depleted Uranium is a War Crime. While I would love to have their messages sent out to millions, I doubt a majority of people would listen. Oh well, here's hoping.

    Never lose faith ;)

We Are the One is coming to RBN! :D

I'm hoping for more! For Blood and Empire is my second favorite album of all time!

I would love if these songs come to rock band (probably through RBN)

    1. I'd Tell You But...
    2. Emigre
    3. Turncoat
    4. When All The Lights Go Out
    5. We Are the Lost (Even though this wasn't one of their stronger albums this was the first song I heard by them and I still like it)
    6. We Are The One (YAY!)
    7. Sodom, Gomorrah, Washington D.C. (Sheep In Shepherd's Clothing)
    8. Hymn for the Dead
    9. The Press Corpse
    10. Confessions of an Economic Hit Man

Well I think I should stop, haha I would obviously buy ANYTHING released by them but I tried to narrow it down to favorites, obviously I still need to check out their older stuff but I heard a few songs from the previous albums and already I could tell they have improved on their songs IMO
