Assuming I buy one Queen album, and already have the Greatest hits cd, which one should it be?

I really wouldn't bother to be honest. Get something that's harder to find a free download for online.

All the Queen discog. files I've found have been complete messes, to be honest, not to mention they take what seems like days to finish.

I've never really listened to them, though I just watched the Live Aid performance, and I'm definitely interested.

Hmmm, fair enough then. I'm not great on Queen though, I've heard most of it and hate most of it and couldn't tell you the differences between the albums XD

This is why I think the only must have Queen album is their Greatest Hits collection.

I don't think the Greatest Hits is put together well at all. I barely know any Queen, and there are some essential songs it is missing. Stone Cold Crazy is a main offender.

i think the first four queen albums are pretty essential...
my favorite is "a night at the opera", but it's light on the rock. you may prefer "queen II" or "sheer heart attack".

I don't usually like the word overrated, but I lean towards this sentiment, too.

Also, is it wrong that I am looking forward to the SBSP songs more than any of the other DLC combined next week?

Yes, but only because you can use the journey song to really piss off your friends who are fans of the Sopranos by turning your console off in the middle of the song. It'll be hilarious at least once.

I have a friend who listens to nothing but Alternative. Bands like Vampire Weekend, Muse, Radiohead, Super Furry Animals, Of Montreal, and Wilco.

The problem is that he hates pretty much everything else. So, I've taken it upon my chance to attempt to broaden his horizons. I'm thinking of what bands to introduce him to... I'm thinking My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus Lizard, The Replacements, The Alan Parsons Project, Tool, The Mars Volta, John Coltrane, The Pixies, and The Cure. Any suggestions? This would be just a start.
Wait. He supposedly likes alternative but he doesn't know Pixies or My Bloody Valentine?

Anyway, those are pretty good picks, though a lot of them are alternative anyway.
