Rocknrolla. Very odd film. Slow-paced for a Guy Ritchie flick, but still fun.

Does Neil Peart ever appear in the actual series ... or was it just for the movie?

Last movie I saw was Watchmen on opening night. I saw it with friends who also loved the graphic novel and we all thought it was good. Then jokes about Dr. Manhattan and a certain blue thing he had.

I think the next movie I'm going to go see is Transformers Revenge of the Fallen on opening night/day. That should be wondrous.

I saw "Burn After Reading" yesterday. The picture quality on Blu-ray was astounding. I guess I've been used to watching "HD" TV from my local cable company and old movies on DVD/Blu-ray, but it just seemed to pop more than anything else I've seen lately.

The plot to the movie was quite different than I expected from the previews, but I should've expected it from a Coen brothers movie. Overall I think it was great, and I will watch it again to see if I can figure out a little more of what's going on

Black Hawk Down. I just finished reading the book, and figured I'd watch the movie. It was really good.

Know1ng, and Hell Girl, i don't watch that many movies because i don't particularly care for theaters, unless anyone invites me out. Which rarely happens because i don't live where all my friends are, but i'm moving back tomorrow. Which i am exstatic ^^.

Last sunday I watched "Dumbo" for the first time in many, many years. It really didn't surprise me that the quality was as high as I remembered from my childhood (although I fell asleep for about 5 minutes because of exhaustion).

"Pink Elephants On Parade" has to be my favourite animated sequence aside from "Hephalumps and Woozles" from "The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh".

Here's the movies I've see this past months and my short review of each one:

Watchmen: I personally thought this movie was one of the worst I've ever seen, but there are some people who enjoyed the comics that did enjoy this movie.
The Fast And The Furious('09): This movie was okay, it's hard to make a better one than the first. Nice to see the original cast back.
Transformers: Just watched this movie about 5 minutes ago, absolutely fantastic, can't wait for the sequel.

I've seen more movies but don't remember their exact names.

    Punisher Warzone (again)

I wanted to watch it for a 2nd time so I could change my mind on it, and I thought it was better the second time around. Still not as good as 2004 tho

Watchmen ....saw it in IMAX so blue dong just filled the entire view. Never read the graphic novel but I actually got it and enjoyed it.

Crank 2: High Voltage. Weird yet entertaining. It's a bit more surreal than the first movie though and didn't feel as well put together as the first one.

I watched Yes Man over the weekend with my family and expected it to be drivel, but there were enough belly laughs to make it worthwhile.

But good lord does Jim Carrey look old now.

    Laid to Rest 8/10
Going in I knew it would be a gory, B-horror movie so it was no surprise that the acting was not Oscar worthy and the story was very cliche. However, when viewing these films, I look for just having a good time and I could tell the director enjoyed making the film. Great SFX by the makeup crew. If you enjoy slasher flicks, check it out.

Oh forgot I saw this over the weekend as well. I love Amy Adams so I might be a little biased about the movie :) but I did enjoy the story and loved the two sisters. It had some melodramatic material but overall, it was a good story lead by two amazing acting jobs by Adams and Emily Blunt.

Seeing X-Men Origins: Wolverine Friday... I have a feeling it will be horrible but who knows. Maybe it could be so bad that it makes it an enjoyable time. I guess I'll see...

The promos for Wolverine look awful and word of mouth sounds pretty bad. They've really have taken poor care of the franchise it seems. But I could be wrong, maybe it will meet typical summer fare.

Strangely I'm more interested in the new Star Trek and Terminator movies.

If you're a Wolverine and/or X-Men comic book fan, that knows both, the back story to Wolverine and the X-Men. Then you will be very upset at this movie.

If all you know of the X-Men and Wolverine is what you've seen in the movies, then you will like the movie.

    That simple.
