Your Ultimate Setlist
TuleRune's Tiering Thread II Turbo
edited February 3
It's totally up to you, though I think you should get to everything in the pipeline, personally. That said, whenever you're ready, I'd like to change my requests since I had
tier the three I requested last June.
I also need to catch up on tier comparisons now that you're alive. Not counting "Slow Ride" due to the different versions, I'm due to make ones for "Super Freak", "Enjoy the Silence" and "That Don't Impress Me Much" between your two threads.
Cool, I'll get too it now that I have an easy work week. In the interim, just gonna bang out the backlog as quickly as I can have the time to put them up. As a reminder, these sets are for what is gonna be "Rock Band 2018". I haven't yet run through my backlog to see what might've been realised, but considering these are all old until further notice, just consider them alternative tiers.
Avril Lavigne - "Here's to Never Growing Up" (Pop-Rock, 2013)
Babylon Zoo - "Spaceman" (Alternative, 1996)
The Black Eyed Peas - "Where Is The Love? (ft. Justin Timberlake)" (Hip-Hop/Rap, 2003)
The Clash - "White Riot" (Punk, 1977)
Daft Punk - "Instant Crush (ft. Julian Casablancas)" (Pop/Dance/Electronic, 2013)
Halestorm - "Love Bites (So Do I)" (Rock, 2012)
Iron Maiden - "Prowler" (Metal, 1980)
The Kinks - "All Day and All of the Night" (Classic Rock, 1965)
Kyuss - "Green Machine" (Rock, 1992)
Molly Hatchet - "Whiskey Man" (Southern Rock, 1979)
My Chemical Romance - "The Ghost of You" (Emo, 2004)
Poets of the Fall - "Carnival of Rust" (Indie Rock, 2006)
Primus - "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver" (Alternative, 1995)
Royal Blood - "Lights Out" (Rock, 2017)
Soundgarden - "Hands All Over" (Alternative, 1989)

Awesome! I'll go update my Official List of Tier Threads and put you in the active section, then. Guess it'll be left a great mystery where you were the past half-year
Tier comparisons are in the spoiler below for those who care. Spoiler alert - one of them was near-perfect. Feel free to put these (and the ones on the previous page) in the OP if there's room, but no worries if there isn't. If you do end up posting DLC batches with already-released songs, I can make tier comparisons for those too if you'd like!
Even though I bought two of these, I'm going to keep these relatively brief for the sake of catching up:
"Super Freak" comparison
Hot damn, you
got this one spot-on! Vocals are a dot off, everything else is perfect!
"Enjoy the Silence" comparison
Drums are 3 dots off, everything else is a dot off.
"That Don't Impress Me Much" comparison
Guitar is spot-on, bass is one dot off, vocals are two dots off, drums are three dots off.
And my new requests will just be carryover from
's thread since he closed off requests indefinitely. I was in the process of requesting the entirety of Foster the People's
album, and was getting my 3 least favorites from it out of the way.
Foster the People's
"The Angelic Welcome of Mr. Jones"
(A year after this album, FtP released a "sequel" to this song, "The Unforeseeable Fate of Mr. Jones", that used this interlude in it)
(This was the first encore when I saw them live, which...didn't really work well, honestly. A lot of people were talking over it.)
"Goats in Trees"
Just as a note, there's some faint snare drums throughout "Goats in Trees", and I hear some bass sustains that blend in with the guitar. I don't expect any of these to be particularly fun in a RB context, but y'know, they're part of the album.

Aaaand yet another tier comparison, with Commodores' "Brick House", which was part of your May DLC schedule!
"Brick House" comparison"
Well, you can basically read my post on
's thread as you guys tiered this nearly exact, with only a one-dot vocal difference, so I'd be repeating myself here for the most part. You got vocals and drums spot-on, and guitar and bass a dot off. Here's the
, as well.

You returned at just the right time, it seems, as this is the second week in a row where you tiered a song coming as DLC! Goo Goo Dolls' "Slide" brings us
song from this thread.
Here's the comparison. Note that I'm not buying this song so I can't comment much outside of the tiers themselves.
painfully close again! Everything is perfect except bass, which is one dot off. One day...
