Devo I'm really shocked is not up yet, seeing as how it's one of the greatest new wave albums of all-time. The rest are just personal favorites that I recommend to everyone I talk about music with.

    The Replacements - Tim
Richard & Linda Thompson - Shoot Out the Lights
    Metallica - Kill 'Em All
Graham Parker & the Rumour - Squeezing Out the Sparks
    Hot Dad - Woman Titles
  • 1.) "Shogun" by Trivium. This is a very unique album loved both by fans and metal heads. Every song showcases creative riffs, catchy vocals, and brutal solos. This album was so great, it turned one of the most disliked metal bands at the time into a fan favorite.

2.) "Bad Vibrations" by A Day To Remember. This album has a huge range of heavy to more laid back tracks. It is such a diverse album, and it was one of the best to be released in the past year.

3.) "Device", a self-titled album from Device, features many catchy vocals and well written songs. The instruments are more complementary to the song than complex, but they're still creative. Many people know about this album because David Draimon was the singer for it during Disturbed's hiatus.

4.) "The Drug In Me Is You" by Falling in Reverse. This album made the band very popular among fans of bands such as "Pierce the Veil" and "Asking Alexandria". It has memorable guitar solos and how the songs are structured makes them very catchy and original.

5.) "Lifelines" by I Prevail. Another album with a lot of range from metalcore to acoustic songs. Very catchy.

    My self-imposed rules:
    - No compilation albums
    - No repeated artists
    - Albums must have no songs that are currently available in RB4
    - One album per decade
    - If there's a single song on the album I'd skip when listening to it, it doesn't go on the list.
    - Other than that, go crazy

    Epica: The Holographic Principle
    Biffy Clyro: Only Revolutions
    Metallica: Self-titled
Guns n' Roses: Appetite for Destruction
Black Sabbath: Master of Reality (a mild cheat as a cover of Sweet Leaf is available)

Good rules. It knocks out a few of my favorite-to-pick albums because of having one song available, but that's OK.
I think an attempted genre spread is a good idea too. Picking METALMETALMETALMETALMETAL is a little narrow.

    Love - Forever Changes
    Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
    Pearl Jam - Vs.
    Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
    Arcade Fire - The Suburbs
  • Dublin Fair - Jamboree Album
    Spice Girls - Spice World
    Aqua - Aquarium
Dream Theater - Train of Thought
    Metallica - Metallica (Black Album)

Here is my picks. : )
  • 1. Coheed and Cambria - Vaxis - Act I: The Unheavenly Creatures
This album may be the best album ive ever heard. Everything within each song on this album is just beautiful. The Chorus' are powerful, the lyrics are well written stories, the music is unique with a familiar feel and well blended together.

    2. Ghost - Meliora (Deluxe Edition)
Everything I said about Vaxis - Act I ^ I said first about Meliora... Every song on this album is a perfect fit for Rock Band. Deluxe Edition includes Square Hammer, their most popular song according to Spotify

    3. Halestorm - The Strange Case Of...
Halestorm's most successful album. Includes many great guitar riffs, drum lines, and Lzzy Hale's vocals. Every song off this album would be perfect for Rock Band.

    4. Silversun Pickups - Swoon
Panic Switch and Sort Of, were already in the store, however when Rock Band 4 released they were taken off. What better way to re-release these songs than to release the album. Songs like Surrounded, It's Nice to Know You Work Alone, The Royal We, and more, would be a blast to play on Rock Band

    5. In Flames - Sounds of a Playground Fading
There is no In Flames on any Rock Band or the store. Sounds of a Playground Fading is my favorite album from the band. Songs like Deliver Us and Where the Dead Ships Dwell would be a blast to play on Rock Band

Honorable Mentions would have to include:
Ghost - Prequelle, Opus Eponymous, Infestissumam
    Halestorm - Self Titled
    Highly Suspect - Mister Asylum
Trivium - Silence in the Snow, The Sin and the Sentence
  • My 5 Albums (excluding "Greatest Hits" compilations)

    1) Achtung Baby! - U2
Just about every song on this album is a master piece. U2 not only reinvented themselves on this album, with it they also released their best material of the 90's

    2) Purple Rain - Prince
"When Doves Cry," "Let's Go Crazy," "I Would Die U," "Purple Rain" This album was Prince at his best

    3) Use Your Illusion I - Guns 'n Roses
If for no other reason than to Freestyle Solo on "November Rain"

    4) ...But Seriously - Phil Collins
"Another Day in Paradise" "I Wish it Would Rain" (ft. Eric Clapton) "Something Happened on the Way to Heaven"

    5) Jesus Freak - dc Talk
This might be where I lose some people, but hear me out... This album changed everything in christian music. The title track is currently available on RB DLC, so that should at least give you an idea of how solid this album is. It's one of the best selling CCM records of all time.

  • Spice Girls - Spice World
    Aqua - Aquarium

How did these 2 "albums" get mixed in a list with Metallica & Dream Theather???
