• Re: New to DropMix, questions about packs and playlists.

Hey there, I'll try to answer your questions as best I can. If you've got any more, feel free to head to the official DropMix discord, (discord.gg/DropMix) where you're more likely to get a quick answer.

I’m wanting to purchase some playlist packs but I’m extremely confused.
I saw the googledocs card list and I see there are possibly 16 different 16 card playlist sets I can purchase but I can’t seem to locate much info on them.
So, the way the game sorts out the premade decks is to sort them into 15 card sets called 'Playlists'.
What's confusing is that not all Playlists are found in Playlist packs.
Playlist packs contain a complete Playlist (so a complete set of 15 cards) and also contain a bonus card, which belongs to the Baffler set.

The other playlists are made up of Discover Packs. In discover packs, the card art in the packaging window determines which 5 cards you'll get.

I guess my questions are: can someone explain to me which playlists are currently available?
Are all the cards in the discovery packs what make up the playlist packs?
So to answer the second question here, the cards in the discover packs make up 8 of the 21 playlists that will be collectable over the first year of DropMix (2017/2018). To try and help you out, I'll list each playlist and where it comes from.

Sweets (Pop, Popsicle Icon) - Found in the base set.
Highness (Hip-Hop, Crown Icon) - Found in the base set.
The Blade (Rock, Axe Icon) - Found in the base set.
Controller (Electronic, Robot Icon) - Found in the base set.

Derby (Pop/Disco, Roller-skate Icon) - Found in the Derby Playlist set.
Mirrors (Hip-Hop, Sunglasses Icon) - Found in the Mirrors Playlist set.
Ouroboros (Rock, Circle-snake Icon) - Found in the Ouroboros Playlist set.
Astro (Electronic, Space-Helmet Icon) - Found in the Astro Playlist set.
Lucky (Country, Horseshoe Icon) - Found in the Lucky Playlist set. Currently only available to pre-order, comes out early Feb.

Flawless (Pop, Gem Icon) - Found in the Flawless Playlist set, exclusive to Target (US). Sometimes called Diamond by scaplers/resellers.
Bomb (Hip-Hop, Spray-can Icon) - Found in the Bomb Playlist set, exclusive to Toys R Us (US+Canada).

Chiller (Electronic, Sunrise-looking Icon) - Found in the Chiller Playlist set. No confirmed release date, although it will be exclusive to Best Buy (US)

Dapper (Pop/Disco/Dance, Bow-tie Icon) - Found in Series 1 and Series 2 Discover packs.
Seer (Hip-Hop/RNB, Triple-Eye Icon) - Found in Series 1 and Series 2 Discover packs.
Hightower (Rock, Rook Icon) - Found in Series 1 and Series 2 Discover packs.
Puff (Electronic, Ghost Icon) - Found in Series 1 and Series 2 Discover packs.

Fever (Pop/Latin, Burning-Heart Icon) - Found in Series 3 and Series 4 Discover packs. Not currently available, but they'll be sold soon, since we've got info on Series 3 item listings.
Breaker (Hip-Hop, Lightning-Bolt Icon) - Found in Series 3 and Series 4 Discover packs. Not currently available, but they'll be sold soon, since we've got info on Series 3 item listings.
Socket (Rock, Skull Icon) - Found in Series 3 and Series 4 Discover packs. Not currently available, but they'll be sold soon, since we've got info on Series 3 item listings.
Moonlight (Country, Firefly Icon) - Found in Series 3 and Series 4 Discover packs. Not currently available, but they'll be sold soon, since we've got info on Series 3 item listings.

And finally Baffler (Everything, Puzzle-piece Icon) - Found through the bonus 16th card sold with Playlist packs.
Where the heck do I purchase the packs? I don’t really want to pay for overpriced EBay ones but that’s about all I’m finding.
All of these packs (bar the exclusives - Flawless, Bomb and Chiller) are available or will probably be available at a number of retailers.
    UK: Game, Amazon
US: Amazon, Walmart, Gamestop, Target, Toys R Us, Best Buy, Hasbro
    CAN: Toys R Us
The list isn't the only retailers selling the game, just the ones I know of.

If you've got any more questions, again, head over to the official DropMix discord (discord.gg/dropmix) and someone will be glad to help you out. Especially with regional retailers, which I know little about myself.

  • Every Song So Far

I have decided to compile a list of all the cards used so far, and after 2 and a half hours of carefully examining the twitch livestreams, here is every card I could find that I could read. Some cards have decks the names of which we haven't heard yet, so I've added in names based on the symbol for now. I also may have misspelled some names. I plan to keep this as updated as possible, so let me know of any mistakes or deck name updates. All the cards are assumed to be in the same named decks because of the same symbol between them.

Sorting is by deck, then by level.

  • Re: DropMix Questions

Will there be a proper card request page similar to Rock Band 4 in the near future?
I have a far few requests and would rather wait to input them into the right system.
  • Wildcard Ideas

After watching the streams I started coming up with some ideas for potential wildcards, based on cards I'd like to see, and what transitions/breakdowns would be fun to hear. I'm not sure how well any of them would work, but it's fun to speculate!

    Artist - Song - Transition:
Yes - Roundabout - the iconic opening intro (around 0:38)
Evanescence - Bring Me to Life - "Wake Me Up!"
Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me - the spoken intro
Tupperware Remix Party - ICQ - the two second talkbox solo around 2:40
Tupperware Remix Party - Groove Crusaders - the end of Arin Hanson's vocal part ("Groove Crusaders!")
Bon Jovi - You Give Love A Bad Name - the very first lyric of the song
Blink 182 - All The Small Things - the two note guitar intro
Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc - the opening laugh

These ones I haven't thought of transition ideas yet:
    A-ha - Take On Me
    Stevie Wonder - Superstition
    Aerosmith - Walk This Way
Dragonforce - Through The Fire And Flames

Let me know what you think, and any other ideas for wildcards you have!
