Real quick: do you want to change my forum handle before you go?
LOVE YOU CHRISTINE!!!22
Just to give folks some additional context, Harmonix is moving offices this week, and that means all of our servers are moving with us. It's likely that all games will experience some brief downtime, and when we know about it in advance we will make sure to broadcast so people aren't caught unaware like they were with Blitz.
Submitting a support ticket should help, but reaching out to us on Twitter is probably the fastest way to get an update right now. We'll be settled into the new office next week, so if there are still issues with gameplay then, we'll look into resolving them ASAP. Thanks for your patience!4
Here's an interesting press release that I thought you may want to check out. Read on.
We need your help! Ten Club, MTV Games and Harmonix’s Rock Band, and Rhapsody are teaming up to let you, Pearl Jam’s biggest fans, help us choose the best versions of Pearl Jam live songs that will be presented for the first-ever fan voted set list for a forthcoming Rock Band project.
Your expertise will help us determine which of these versions is worthy of making the cut. Just click on the songs you like and open up the Rhapsody playlist widget for that particular song. Once you have the widget open, listen to the version you think is the best. The versions that are played the most times will be deemed the best versions and will then be entered into consideration to make the final “set list” vote.
Note: Those of you who aren’t Rhapsody subscribers will have to go to here to get your free trial subscription so you can use the play list.
You’ve got your work cut out for you.
You can hit up the official discussion thread here. So get posting!
We've got a pretty modest relicensing update this quarter, which is good news for everyone, as it means we've been able to resecure the vast majority of tracks coming up on their 5th anniversary.
The only track being pulled from the store this quarter is:
* Alien Ant Farm - "Smooth Criminal"
In addition to that track, the following digital avatar merch will also be pulled. These are all the artists specific avatar shirts in the Rock Band 3 character creator closet.
* Bob Marley shirts
* The Doors shirts
* Jimi Hendrix shirts
* Spinal Tap shirts
* The Who shirts
This content is expected to come down from Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and the Nintendo Wii on March 31st. The usual caveat about timing applies: we don't control when 1st party updates their stores, so you may see content come down a little earlier or a little later, so if you're looking to pick up this stuff then you're probably better off not waiting until the last minute.
Be sure to scan the other posts in this thread for some general info about relicensing. We'll keep an eye out for any additional questions, and will add an FAQ to this post if necessary. Thanks!1
We mostly pick songs by getting into a room and yelling at each other.13
